Start with the wide end of the tie on your right side extending about one foot below the narrow end on left side. Twist the wide end of the tie exposing the seam. ![]() 2. Cross the narrow end over the wide end and then cross the wide end from left to right back over the narrow end. ![]() 3. Continue by bringing the wide end around to the back of the knot from right to left and then forward and up through the front of the loop. The St. Andrew knot is one of the thirteen aesthetic knots?![]() 4. Bring the wide end around to the front of the knot, crossing over the front from right to left and then around the back and up through the loop. ![]() 5. Bring the wide end down passing it through the front of the knot and tighten. Now hold down the narrow end of your tie with one hand while you slide the knot up to the center of your collar with the other hand. Very nice. The St. Andrew tie knot is for those informal moments and "get-togethers." |
