Watch our video tutorial for tying a Kelvin Knot or follow the illustrated steps below.

1.  Begin with the wide end of the tie on your right side extending about one foot below the narrow end on left side.  Twist the wide end of the tie exposing the seam.

2.  Cross the narrow end over the wide end and then cross the wide end from left to right back over the narrow end.

3.  Continue by bringing the wide end around to the back of the knot and forward crossing the front again.

Did you know that the Kelvin knot is one of the thirteen aesthetic knots?

4.  Bring the wide end around to the back and up through the loop.

5.  Bring the wide end down passing it through the front of the knot and tighten.  Now hold down the narrow end of your tie with one hand while you slide the knot up to the center of your collar with the other hand.

Simple but aesthetically pleasing.  The Kelvin tie knot is for those who stay on the go.
